On-demand scans are scans that are triggered manually, by the user, through the CloudSploit dashboard. Background scans are scans initiated by CloudSploit at a pre-defined interval (every 36 hours by default). For Free plan users, on-demand scan results are shown in the browser only and are not saved to the account. For Standard plan users, on-demand scan results are stored in the account, just like background scans. The results of both scan types are exactly the same.
