Currently, upgrading a connected AWS account within CloudSploit automatically enables background scans. However, as a Premium Plan user, you can adjust the interval of those scans. If you don't want to scan your account (which we do not recommend disabling), but only want the real-time events, you can adjust the scan interval to "999" hours. If you want to permanently disable the scans, please contact support and we will disable the scans for you.

We strongly recommend using both the background scans and the real-time events. Events are useful for catching changes in security configurations as they happen, while scans help catch configurations that drift out of compliance (for example: a user account whose password has not been changed in 90 days).
